Edited (audit event)
Definition
The audit event emitted when a Lead makes a non-substantive change to an Active Shrubbery. The row stays Active; no Renegotiation is triggered and the Knight is not asked to re-Handshake.
Avoid: updated, modified. Do not confuse with
Renegotiated.
Role
Edited is the lightweight counterpart to Renegotiated. When the Lead corrects a typo, updates a metadata field, or adjusts wording that does not alter the commitment's objective or deadline, the system emits an Edited event without touching the row's status or its position in the Commitment Flow Score.
The distinction matters: an Edited row stays in the Active denominator and does not re-enter the Accord. A Renegotiated row leaves the denominator until the Knight re-accepts.
The Edited event is attributed to the acting user in the audit trail and is visible in the Detail Sheet timeline.
Lifecycle
Not a status — Edited is an audit event. The row's status after this event remains Active.
- Trigger: non-substantive edit to an
Activerow (metadata, source text, minor wording that does not alter commitment terms). - Effect:
editedevent written to audit trail; row status unchanged. - Contrast: editing objective or deadline on an
Activerow triggersRenegotiated, notEdited.
