Flow Score
Definition
The Say-Do Ratio axis of the Commitment Flow Score: delivered commitments divided by total Handshaked commitments, expressed as a percentage.
Avoid: completion rate, delivery rate, hit rate.
Role
Flow Score answers "when Knights agree to something, how often do they actually deliver?" It is the primary axis of the CFS and the most direct measure of team reliability.
The denominator increments when a Shrubbery enters Active (Knight Handshakes). The numerator increments only when that Shrubbery reaches Completed with completed_at <= deadline (on-time delivery). A late completion increments neither — it stays in the denominator as a miss. A Refused row never enters the Flow Score denominator; the Knight never consented, so there is nothing to score.
Flow Score is computed by computeCfs() in src/lib/metrics/cfs.ts and displayed as one of three gauges on the Garden widget and the Dossier. The gauge reads "high = healthy" — a team delivering 90%+ of Handshaked commitments on time will show a high Flow Score.
Lifecycle
Not a stateful concept — see CFS Rules for the precise inclusion logic.
- Row enters denominator:
Pending_Handshake→Active(Handshake performed). - Row enters numerator:
Active→Completedwherecompleted_at <= deadline. - Row stays in denominator only:
Active→Completedwherecompleted_at > deadline. - A Renegotiated row temporarily exits the denominator until the Knight re-Handshakes.
